Daniel Flefil, a top calisthenics coach, athlete, and event organizer, founded Beast of the Barz and co-founded Calixpert, shaping the sport worldwide.
I have over 15 years of workout experience, including more than 10 years in calisthenics. Before discovering calisthenics, I competed in kickboxing for five years and have always been passionate about fitness and sports.
In 2016, I competed in Ninja Warrior Sweden and placed 8th out of 150 contestants. During the competition, I met a friend who introduced me to calisthenics. From that moment, I fell in love with the discipline and have been dedicated to it ever since.
Since 2017, I have organized Beast of the Barz, one of the biggest calisthenics competitions in the world. It has grown into a globally recognized event where freestyle and endurance athletes from all over the world come to compete and showcase their skills. I have also helped organize the Calisthenics Cup at FIBO for two years in a row, contributing to the growth of the sport on an international stage. Additionally, I have been a live stream speaker at SWUB (Street Workout Ultimate Battles) for two consecutive years, bringing expert insights and commentary to the competition.
As a Swedish calisthenics coach and athlete, I focus on helping people start calisthenics, even if they have no prior experience. I share tutorials, reviews, and reaction videos on my YouTube channel, training tips and guidance on Instagram, and fitness-related content on TikTok to reach and inspire more people.
I have also coached top athletes such as Simon Imhauser and Malin Malle Jansson to the highest level in competition. Both have become national champions multiple times, and Malin even became a two-time world champion before retiring.
Together with Malin Malle Jansson, I co-founded Calixpert to make learning calisthenics easier. Our goal is to help others get started without facing the same struggles we did. If you're looking for expert guidance, check out our online calisthenics coaching for structured training and support.
I’m 30 years old, based in Stockholm, Sweden, and engaged to Malin Jansson. I love dogs and have a dog named Minos, who is a big part of my life.
